Blade and Soul NA: How to unlock all hongmoon skills and secret techniques *updated*

Currently in Blade and Soul NA there are several different secret hongmoon techniques you can unlock. You can unlock your LB (Left Mouse Button ability), your RB (Right Mouse button ability) and one utility spell depending on your class. Today i'll how you how to unlock them all. So let's get started! :)

 HongMoon Skill: LB

The left-click button (LB) for all classes are learned in the same way, by consuming the following items:
●  Ocean Essence: Fire or Ice Bird at Wind Plain
● Deep Sea Weed: Fish Dragon at Wind Plain
● Golden Honey: Grizzly Bear at Wind Plain
● White Mist Mushroom: Grassland Yeti at Wind Plain
● Root of Evil Spirit: Flower monster at Wind Plain
● HongMoon Pill: From Guild Workshop

The consumables are rare drops from monsters located all over Silverfrost Mountains. Instead of hunting them, one can also exchange for them at Achievement Merchant in Zaiwei City (Location), provided that you have reached 1250 Achievement Points and you have 50 Naryu Silver.

Keep in mind that the hongmoon pellet cannot be purchased from the Achievement Merchant in Zaiwei City. Instead you will either have to pay someone to craft it for you or have you guild craft it if they are level 5 or higher. The pellet takes 3 days to finish crafting.

Unlock a secret hongmoon skill by eating a Royal Zen Bean

 How to aquire it
For this you will have to visit your local zen bean trader and purchase a Royal Zen Bean. This will cost you 5000 zen beans and the zen beans can only be earned by participating in arena pvp either 1v1 or 3v3.

Even if you aren't a fan of pvp I highly recommend you do this because it's well worth your time. Also there are several daily pvp quests  you can pick up that will reward you a total of 600 zen beans when you've completed them all, so it's still worth it to try to do these especially if you wanna unlock one of your secret hongmoon skills.

So what skill does the royal zen bean unlock for your class?
The following skills (with default key in bracket) can be learned by consuming a Celestial Bean:
T = Tier; S = Stage

Blade Master: Lightning Draw (4) T5S4
Force Master: Inferno (X) T5S2
Kung fu Master: Comet Strike (4) T5S2
Destroyer: Emberstomp (3) T5S4
Assassin: Shadow Slash (3) T5S2
Summoner: Rumblebees (RB) T5S4
Blade Dancer: Lightning Draw (C) T5S3
Warlock: Dragoncall tier 5

Alternatively you can press U to bring up your achievement page go to Character than go to skills to see which hongmoon skills you can unlock

Unlock a secret hongmoon technique by acquiring a HM Skillbook Volume 2

  How to aquire it
Another way to unlock one of your secret hongmoon skills is by acquiring a HM skill book. These are skill books that drop in certain 4 man dungeons (Bloodshade Harbor, Avalanche Den, The Awakened Necropolis).

These books are a rare drop and they only drop in 4 man dungeon mode however they are trade able so you will be able to purchase them at your local market place, but expect to pay a nice chunk of gold for them since almost everyone wants / needs them.

So what skill do these HM Books unlock for your class?

IThe HM Skill book from Bloodshade harbor will unlock the following skill for your class

Blade Master: Lightning Draw Tier 5, Stage 1, 2, and 3
Force Master: Inferno Tier 5, Stage 1 and 3
Kungfu Master: Comet Strike Tier 5, Stage 1, 2, and 3
Destroyer: Emberstomp Tier 5, Stage 1, 2, and 3
Assassin: Shadow Slash (3) Tier 5, Stage 1, 3, and 4
Summoner: Rumblebees (RB)Tier 5, Stage 1, 2, and 3
Blade Dancer: Lightning Draw (C) Tier 5, Stage 1, and 2
Warlock: Dragoncall Tier 5, Stage 1, and Dragon Helix Tier 5, Stage 3

Has Blade and Soul gone pay2win?

Welcome everyone. So has Blade and Soul gone pay2win? Today we're going to find out. First, what exactly is pay2win? Pay2win is when your able to acquire powerful items from the cash shop that cannot be obtained anywhere else in the game, and these items give you a significant advantage over other players who haven't or simply refuse to fork over cash, either because they don't have the money or simply because they just don't want to be a pay2win player.

For example, say tomorrow NCWest decided to release legendary weapons, accessories, and soul shields in the cash shop only and these items were not obtainable anywhere in the game. And let's say they made these items usable in 1v1 and 3v3 arena. To me that would be considered pay2win because these items give you a significant advantage over other players and basically make it so you win not because of skill but because you forked over some cash to get these overpowered items. Now that is pay2win.

However, I don't think Blade and Soul players know what they are talking about when they label for example the treasure trove event as pay2win because that's simply not true. The treasure trove which basically was an RNG Box, had a chance to drop all kinds of goodies like sparkling hexagonal gems, soulstones, costumes, and hongmoon skill books to name a few. We all know that.

But NONE of these items in the treasure trove box give you any kind of distinct advantage over other players, because even if a player got lucky and maybe got a few hexagonal gems, maybe a stack of soulstones or even a hongmoon skill book, you can't use these items against other players except only in the new 6v6 battleground which isn't really that popular right now.

Yes these items in the treasure  trove box can be used to upgrade a players gear and weapon and make them stronger but what exactly is pay2win about that? The person who is forking over cash for these treasure boxes isn't really paying2win. They are paying2progress faster or even paying2skip ahead but definitely not paying to win.

Now I don't know about you all, but if my clan had a few of these supposed pay2win players i'd be pretty damn excited. I'd go out of my way to be their best friend so I could clear some of the harder dungeons faster like Asura and Yeti. These players that are being labled pay2win are probably people who don't have a lot of time to devote to blade and soul and they see these RNG boxes as a way to catch up.

That's it. Just because an item requires you to hand over cash in order to obtain it doesn't make it pay2win. Alot of these items can all be obtained in the game, but unlike players who hand over cash to get them, players like myself and others have to actually grind hours and hours on end to obtain them.

We're still able to get the same items as players who pay for them but for the rest of us who don't want to pay cash for them, it's just going to take longer. So does that mean all of these rng box events that NCWest has been releasing are pay2win. In my opinion, no.

Because again, none of these items give you any kind of advantage over another player in a competitive pvp environment and no I don't count the new 6v6 battleground as competitive pvp because that place is a ghost town. So is blade and soul pay2win? The answer is no.

5 tips that will help you level up fast in blade and soul!

Leveling up in Blade and Soul is a relatively straight forward task, however if you're not upgrading your gear on your long journey to level 50, which is the max level in this game, than leveling can get very tedious.

So today i'm going to show you how to level up quickly and efficiently in blade and soul. Some info about myself, I've been playing Blade and Soul since it launched in North America on January 19, 2016 and i've leveled up two characters to max and am now working on a third character.

Tip#1 Don't forget to upgrade your weapon and accessories
Anyway let's get started. When you first zone into the world of Blade and Soul you'll notice your character starts with no equipment, but as you level up in the game you'll start receiving equipment like your hongmoon weapon, and your hongmoon accessories like your ring, earring, and necklace. Now here is where Blade and Soul is different than other mmos.

Unlike other mmos the epic equipment you get on your journey to 50 stays with you all the way till you hit level 50. The reason is this. Your hongmoon weapon and accessories can be upgraded by feeding them green and blue quality items.

As you do this, your weapon and accessories get stronger and give you more stats and in turn makes it so you are killing mobs faster. This is awesome because the faster your killing mobs the faster you are earning xp and the faster you are leveling up. Win / win situation. So I highly recommend you are constantly evolving your weapon and accessories when you can.

Tip#2 Make sure to equip a soul shield
Now let's talk about your soul shield. In blade and soul we don't get armor like other mmos. We have what is called a soul shield. This soul shield increases important stats like your health power, critical rate, and defensive stats. It's important that you have one equipped as you level up because if you don't have one equipped mobs will be hitting you much harder than they should be.

Tip#3 If you're lost, follow the story line icon
Next tip is if you are lost in blade and soul all you have to do is open up your map and locate the yellow icon. This is the main story line quest for blade and soul and will show you where you need to go next.

Tip#4 Do heroic dungeons when you can
There are heroic dungeons in Blade and Soul that you can run that drop epic items, most importantly epic soul shields that have much better stats on them than anything you'll find while questing. You can run your first heroic dungeon at level 20. You can access the dungeon screen by pressing F8 on your keyboard.

Tip#5 The Hongmoon Store
Blade and Soul has a cash shop you can access by pressing F10 on your keyboard. This cash shop has some nice items you can get that can increase your experienced gain by 100% and other items that increase your inventory as well. This tip is optional but if you ever need an experience boost, make sure to checkout the hongmoon store.

How to increase your attack power in Blade and Soul

What's up guys. Today i'm going to show you how to increase your attack power. Right now in Blade and Soul it seems you need a really high amount of attack power to get into good groups.

A lot of groups are asking for 500, 550, even 600+ attack power in order to join their party, which kind of sucks if you have no where near that amount of attack power. So I decided to create this video that will show you how to increase your attack power in a relatively cheap way in the MMO Blade and Soul. Hope you enjoy. :)

Blade and Soul Shattered Empire Update is coming! Are you ready?

On April 27th Blade and Soul is getting yet another update called Shattered Empire. In this video I explain what to expect and what are some of the changes that are coming our way.

New Blade and Soul Update Shattered Empire Arrives April 27!

Blade and Soul content continues to come out at break neck speed and on April 27th we will be getting even more content!

Awesome news for players that are kind of bored right now and bad news for players that are still trying to catch up. Anyway lets take a look and what we're getting for the new blade and soul update.

The 2.1 update brings new dungeons, a new section to Mushin’s Tower, and brand new PvP game mode.

The Shattered Empire update arrives April 27, and brings a variety of new content and rewards to the already vast world of Blade & Soul.

Among the features in the update are two new Heroic dungeons, Cold Storage and Sogun’s Lament—which is the greatest group content challenge yet.

When you’re not succumbing to soul-crushing defeat in Sogun’s Lament, you can climb a new section of Mushin’s Tower (F9–15) to face brutal new tests of skill in this unique solo experience.

And when it’s time to blow of some steam, you’ll experience a brand new objective-based PvP game mode—Whirlwind Valley—in fast and furious 6v6 team-based combat.

Let's take a look at the two new dungeons.

Cold Storage

This is what I know so far about Cold Storage. It is going to be one of the shortest dungeons yet even shorter than yeti dungeon. There is only one group of trash mobs to clear and after that the boss. There is also a mini boss that you can summon by using a green orb, blue orb, and red orb.

These orbs drop randomly from the main boss and are trade-able and can be sold on the market place for a nice amount of gold. The entire dungeon gives you the most xp in the game towards your hongmoon levels.

The first boss gives 46,000 xp and the secret boss gives 146,000 xp. Its also the only place where you can buy hongmoon xp talismans. When you down the main boss, a secret merchant will appear where you'll be able to buy several rare pieces of merchandise.

Also Cold Storage will have limited entry so that players will only be able to play it a certain amount of times a day. Players can only do Cold Storage every 8 hours.

Sogun’s Lament
This is the one everyone has been waiting for. This is the dungeon that has the famous Asura boss and is supposed to be one of the hardest dungeons in Blade and Soul history whoa! This dungeon has four bosses in total including Asura.

In order to succeed in this dungeon you will need to have your Scorpion belt equipped to reduced the effect of Asura's brand. You will also need about 120% accuracy and need to have the Silverfrost Dungeon Antidote. This boss fight will not be your typical tank n spank type of fight and does require a lot of coordination between party members in order to successfully defeat Asura.

Why players are starting to leave blade and soul NA

This was taken from a post on the blade and soul website and although it's only one player saying this i'm sure many players that have quit or about to quit can relate to it. Anyway here you go.

Why I'm considering leaving this game forever. I don't want to, per se, but it feels as though the game is fighting against me; every second that I am logged in, it fights harder for me to logout and never return. The general experience is quite an unpleasant one - there are many issues, some of them lingering since launch, and a lot of them either caused by or perpetuated by NCWest.

This is not a whine post, or a hate thread, so please do not respond here if you are blindsided by absolute righteousness - this is where we apply logic, rationale, and constructive criticism to encourage NCWest to support the game as they should do, not as they currently are. Here I will be outlining some very glaring issues with the game. Constructive criticism of the game and all its issues is welcome here.

Firstly, we have the main in-game social issues: Almost all of these issues have very simple solutions and can be solved relatively easily; the alienation of individuals with subjectively 'low' attack power (1),  progression and economy relative to the rate of content updates (2), the large amount of bots intruding the most played aspects of the game (3).

--

1. The alienation of individuals with subjectively 'low' attack power.
The cause for this alienation is seemingly the increase in HP that NCWest applied to our version of the game, supposedly due to complaints in Beta that the content was too easy. The problem is the enrage timer - technically, all of the heroic dungeons have weapon requirements, and all of these requirements were implemented with purpose by NCSoft Korea. That is to say, they are enough for the dungeon they are the minimum requirement for - before the increase in HP by NCWest. NCWest, however, increased boss' HP without adjusting the minimum required weapon, and without adjusting the enrage timer in accordance with the increase in HP.

What this means? This means that the weapon requirements on heroic dungeons are too low and those meeting the requirements are not enough to beat the enrage timer, or that the increase in HP was too high and that the required weapon would be enough to beat the enrage timer if it weren't for the increased HP. As a result, players are being bullied and excluded from running certain heroic dungeons, making the experience for these players a very negative one. This hinders their progression by disallowing them access to quests and materials that earn the most gold, thus not allowing them to upgrade their gear and actually run these dungeons - an endless cycle - decreasing the likelihood of them continuing to play the game.

Solution: Either revert the HP values back to the original Korean ones and allow the social dynamic to revert to its intended design, or increase the weapon requirement to match the increased HP. However, increasing the weapon requirement will cause another issue to occur. It will keep undergeared players behind an eternal wall of catch up. Meaning, if they weren't there at launch, they will never get to current endgame because they will always be stuck behind a method of earning less gold. You could say they would be eternally trapped in outdated content, and stuck in that content's state of economy.

--

2. Progression and economy relative to the rate of content updates.
The release schedule for the content updates seems to have been put into place without making changes to the game's trading system to make up for the time not available, that other regions had in-between such updates. So, although the speed at which we are receiving updates is no issue whatsoever (more content is good), NCWest not making the necessary changes to accomodate the little time we have to catch up between these updates is a problem.

What this means? This means that the initial crafting time limits, and the average resource gathering time were designed for long periods without new content updates. NCWest should have reduced such limits on crafting to create the time-equivalent in the shorter period of time we have to 'catch up'.

Solution: Let's say Korea received Silverfrost one year after launch of their vanilla client (example, not fact), and we received Silverfrost two months after launch of our vanilla client. We recived Silverfrost about 83-84% sooner than they did. Therefore, the time we had to craft and gather, to upgrade, to catch up, was 83-84% less. The limits on crafting should have been shortened by 83-84% to make it time-equivalent. The drops on materials should have been increased by 83-84% to match that time-equivalent.

This would have produced a healthy economy. Not the game of 'catch up or be left behind forever' that we're playing now.

--

3. The large amount of bots intruding the most played aspects of the game.
It started with premium bots, farming PvE content in huge numbers for copper. Then it was Wheel of Fate essences and weapons. Next it was daily quests, Arena for Soulstones and dungeon farming for Moonwater Tears and Merry Potters Recipe. Now we have Soulstone Plains and Awakened Necropolis, on top of the old methods. The only exception to this is Arena.

So why are there so many bots? Well, to begin with, bots will always exist, they are in every other region's servers too, however, not to the intrusive extent that they are in ours and at a much smaller number.

So why is it different for us? Mainly the economy. It is highly likely that the solutions in the previous two points above would result in much less bots. No solution could ever make it impossible for bots without making it impossible for players too, so there will always be bots, but reducing the number is a simple task and after achieving that goal, the next task is secluding the bots to an aspect of the game that players do not care for.

Solution: Fix progression. Fix trade. Fix  the economy. And people won't feel pressured to buy cheap gold from external websites.

--

Those are the three main issues. Next up, I have some personal issues that some may agree with, some may not. However, this is simply a warning that there may be a bit of anger, a bit of disappointment in the following words.

NCWest and its communication:
The way NCSoft communicate with us, even directly through the forums, is very disconnected. Like at the beginning when Julianne used to be in the livestreams. She would respond to concerns, without actually responding to them. She showed such little care, and when she was called out on it by the community, she conveniently disappeared from the stream. This seems to be the pattern with the whole company, issues seem to be ignored and brushed off, and when they are responded to, they aren't actually responded to. It's as though you're talking at us, not to us. Are we even here? Is this real life?

A recent example of this is Hime responding to the thread for the removal of Gameguard. She was probably not the right person to respond to such an issue. And this leads me to...

Gameguard: In the West, is not an acceptable application, and has not been for many years. There is even a stigma attached to any company using it. NCSoft is seen as cheap, ignorant, and non-caring for their customers simply as a byproduct of using Gameguard. Keeping it enabled is nothing short of suicide.

Personally, my game stutters every few seconds when Gameguard is enabled. And so far the pattern has been Gameguard disabled>bad performance but no stutters>Gameguard enabled>bad performance and constant stutters. The game runs bad generally, but Gameguard makes it almost unplayable, completely ruining the experience for me.

Bots bypass it. Hackers bypass it. Google 'antigg.dll', it's not difficult to bypass at all. Anybody who wants to can with no effort at all. So everybody with malicious intent, like hacking, botting, or even the not so malicious, like modding, don't even deal with Gameguard - they just bypass it. Your legitimate users on the other hand, are suffering bad performance because of Gameguard, and yet you refuse to disable it, despite the fact that hackers bypass it, botters bypass it, and even modders bypass it. The people you're trying to target with it are not even affected by it. It's having a detrimental impact on the legitimate paying users, and you have people like Hime, fueling the fire with that disconnected response again.

And finally...

The way content is released:
The way NCWest is releasing content seems to be based on when that same content was released in other regions, rather than how much content there is to release. I think that is quite odd. I don't really know what to propose for this, especially with all the issues the game suffers from right now. I will say that, if the main two points were applied, a more practical release schedule would have been Warlock and Bloodshade at release. Mushin floors 1-8 and Naryu with legendary weapon in the following patch. Then Silverfrost, including part two with chapters 33-38 of the story, Chi Master, Cold Storage, Sundered Nexus, and the Floating Alter.

Chi Master for instance; surely it would have been more practical to have released that in the Silverfrost update. With the current concerns and issues, rerolling a new class is not many peoples' priority. As it stands it is the least played class in the other regions. I think those who want to play a new class have already reserved themselves to it. And the later you release it, the less likely they are to play the game now.

Closing notes:
Overall, my experience up to now on EU has been a mish-mosh of unpleasantness. I was one of the first to reach True Pirate (without use of the Currency Exchange) and True Siren Accessories. I was doing 4-man Bloodshade Harbor while everybody else was stuck at Profane. I feel as though the game offers not much reward for anything.

On the other regions' servers, it always feels like I have something to do, or something to aim for, that I enjoy doing. There are plenty of costumes, and many unique ones to do different dungeons for. There is a legendary weapon that I can invest into, have fun using, and be proud of having full stop, and with it I can solo dungeons for achievements and even rare drops. There is the new 24-man turtle instance. There is 6 vs 6 PvP, like Arathi basin. There is Arena with all current classes available (Chi Master), and the most recent balance patches, so everybody is able to perform to their full potential. There are skills to unlock that aren't even released here yet. There are more Mushin floors to enjoy (I've always loved that tower), and dungeons, so many dungeons.

On Chinese and Taiwan servers, there is no rush to catch up. Everybody (new characters and alts included) can basically get to a gear 'standard' in a short space of time that allows them to do most dungeons without issue, and this is due to numerous differences in how they handle their versions as opposed to NCWest.

NCWest's version of Blade & Soul is objectively speaking, crap. It's actually disappointing to see a game I love have its potential ruined like this.

Blade & Soul from its first reveal years ago has been a highly anticipated game, and has grown to success in every region that it has released in so far, including our own. If the financial earnings report is anything to go by, Blade & Soul seems to be the second highest earner to Lineage, so it isn't going anywhere soon, as long as there is some core playerbase that keeps spending money on it, just like Lineage.

If it's gonna be here for a while, at least take care of it NCWest. Don't make the experience a crappy one for the playerbase. Disable Gameguard. Fix progression. Fix the economy. Get all the classes released and the balance patches out. And give us content to do.

I really hope you sort the issues out NCWest.

Best Soul Shield for level 50 players Blade and Soul NA

There are two really good soul shields you should be aiming for once you reach level 50. They are the yeti soul shield which you can get from Avalanche Den and the other one is the Scorpio Soul Shield which you can get from Awakened Necropolis. Both soul shields are really good depending on the type of player you are.

If you're someone that wants as much crit as possible but doesn't care about having low health power, than I recommend going with the Yeti soul shield. On the other hand if you're more of a defensive player, that wants to have a lot of HP, than the Scorpio soul shield would be the best for you. Both soul shields are really good and you can mix and match them as you please to get maximum amount of stats for your character.

How to make gold in Blade and Soul: Silverfrost Mountains patch

What's up everyone today I will show you how to make gold in the new blade and soul patch Silver Frost Mountains and it's an exciting time because a lot of these new dungeons, dailies and events give much more gold than the level 45 content ever did. I make around 25+ a day just from dailies alone and can make another 15+ gold if I get lucky with drops from bosses. All in all, Silverfrost mountains has made it much easier to earn gold.

New SilverFrost Mountain Dungeons 8+ gold

The new SilverFrost Dungeons give you around 8+ gold in total and there are 8 new dungeons this patch however the only ones you should do are the following because these are the ones that give you daily quests.

Talus Dungeon
Ogong's Folly
The Shrieking Caverns
Chuanka Frost Cavern
Lair of the Frozen Fang
Awakened Necropolis
Avalanche Den

SilverFrost Mountain Dailies 8+ gold

Next we move onto the new silverfrost mountain dailies. I recommend you do these dailies every day if possible because not only do they give you a nice amount of gold but they also give you a lot of xp that goes towards leveling your hongmoon levels once you've reached level 50. I make around 8+ gold a day. I recommend when doing these dailies to team up with clan mates or friends as it'll make it go much faster.

Mushin's Tower 1F-8F 4+gold

Mushin's Tower is still a good way to make an easy amount of gold especially now that the cap is 50. You can get a total of 4g+ by clearing all 8 floors. Even if you cant clear the final floor it's still an easy way to earn experience and earn some gold on the way.

Earning gold through PVP DAILIES 9g+

Zone: Moonwater Plains / Mushin's Tower

Total gold: Around 9g+ depending on your servers economy

Next we move onto pvp dailies. Even if you aren't a good pvper I still recommend doing these dailies because they give you a ton of xp, silver, and most importantly they give you zen beans which you can use to buy yup you guessed it more soulstones.

Zen beans are earned only by doing arena pvp and of course doing the pvp dailies. With 2000 zen beans, you can buy one soulstone pouch which can contain as much as 20 soulstones. On my server soulstones are going for .30 silver a piece. That means on a good day if I get 20 soulstones I can make a whopping 6g just buy selling them all! Now that's awesome!

You can grab the PVP dailies at Mushin's Tower

Alternately if you don't have access to Mushin's Tower yet you can hit F9 on your keyboard and enter the arena lobby. Once your in a match you can get the pvp dailies from the waiting area before you enter combat.

Blade and Soul Guide: What to do once you hit level 45.

I've been playing Blade and Soul since launch and one of the very popular questions I see from fresh level 45s is what do I do now? So i'm here to help you out and point you in the right direction because as new player I know it can be somewhat overwhelming. So let's get started.

1.) Upgrade your weapons and accessories!

When you hit level 45, your main goal should be to upgrade your weapons, ring, earring, and necklace to Awakened Infernal Stage 10 or close. This will ensure that your weapon and accessories are close to max as possible and it'll also make it easier for you to do end game content.

Eventually you'll come to a point where you'll start needing Moonwater Transformation Stones and Soulstones to upgrade your weapon and accessories. Right now those items are expensive and difficult to obtain so upgrade everything as much as you can. Always upgrade your weapon first, then your accessories. Your weapon will always take priority over everything else.

If you cannot upgrade everything completely right at level 45 don't worry about it. That's where end game content will help you along the way to obtain materials, gold and other stuff that you'll need.

2.) Get your level 45 Soul Shield and Belt

Your Soul Shield is very important because it increases your Health Power and also increases your stats like Critical, Evasion, Block and more. So once you ding level 45 the first thing you wanna do if you haven't already is get your level 45 soul shield and level 45 belt by going to Hogshead Hamlet and visiting Moonwater Valor Stone Trader Ryujo. You will need 16 Moonwater Valor Stones for the soul shield and 10 for the belt so hopefully you've been saving them up.

Very important! Make sure you get the Level 45 Soul Shield and not the level 41 ones. The level 45 soul shields cost 2 Moonwater Stones where as the level 41 soul shields only cost 1. So please heads up on that.

 Moonwater Valor Stone Trader Ryujo

3. Do all of your dailies

Now that you've completed step 1 and 2 you're ready to do some end game content. When you hit level 45, you'll probably notice that you don't have a lot of gold to begin with and that's perfectly normal. When I finished hitting 45 on my toon I had roughly about 3g luckily for us, dailies give you a nice amount of silver per daily quest so that is why I recommend you do your daily quests as much as you can. Here is a quick guide of the stuff you should be doing.

Do all Faction Dailies (There are 6 areas where you pick up quests)
Do all Poharan 24-man Dailies (aka E. Fleet Supply Chain, Blackram Supply)
Do the “Big Four” dungeon dailies (Brightstone, Pigsty, Skittering, Oogong)
Farm Cerulean Camp in Misty Woods for Moonwater Arena Soul Shield (PvP set)
Farm Poharan 24-man bosses for Blackram Supply Soul Shield (PvE set)
(Optional) Level your crafting and farm Brightstone for the Moonwater Stone recipe

3. You will continue to do all of the above dailies each day, regardless of where you are on your soul shield sets and equipment. In this order, here is what you need to get for equipment as soon as you hit 45:

Moonwater Belt from Hogshead Hamlet merchant
Obtained with Moonwater Valor Stone

Awakened Infernal Stage 10 Weapon

Awakaned Infernal Stage 10 Accessories

Moonwater Arena Soul Shield Set from Misty Woods
You obtain this by farming the bosses at the Cerulean camp in Misty Woods. Head out there and look for a party in Faction chat or in Teamspeak. The full set requires 160 tokens dropped from the bosses.

Blackram Supply Soul Shield Set from Poharan 24-man
These are obtained from the boxes dropped by the bosses in Poharan 24-man instance

Siren Bracelet obtained from Poharan 24-man
Dropped from boxes from the bosses

Siren Belt obtained from the Merchant outside Poharan 24-man for 20 Siren Emblems
Emblems are obtained from the Poharan 24-man dailies and from boxes dropped by bosses

Storm Siren Weapon from Poharan 24-man
Until you are able to upgrade your Hongmoon weapon with Moonwater Transformation Stones, I advise picking up the Storm Siren Weapon from Poharan 24-man and using it

4. Current End-Game.

Now that you have completed all of the above tasks, there are a few things alongside your dailies and the above tasks you could work on in order to prepare for the patch on February 10th, 2016:

Farm for Prestige Points. The best place to do this is by killing Soojin on the Crimson Beach Outpost. He gives 2 points per kill, turn them in after 21 points for x3 credit.

Start working on achievements. Your achievements will give you points which are required to unlock your Hongmoon levels once they come out and get more skill points. So farming achievements can not only be a fun adventure, but it is also a necessary one to be as strong as possible.

Farm 6-man Poharan and 4-man Poharan for Perfumes. These perfumes will be required to level up gear.

Make sure to do your PvP and Faction dailies in order to 1) Gain soulstones and 2) Gain gem fragment pouches to increase the quality/usefulness of your gems

Optional: Train up your crafting skills and/or farm Brightstone Ruins for the Moonwater recipe so you can make stones for clanmates/yourself.

Blade and Soul: All Classes discussed

What's up everyone. Today we'll be talking about all the classes in the game Blade and Soul. We'll be discussing all of them in depth and we'll be talking about the pros and cons of each class. There are seven classes in total.

Classes

Summoner

The Summoner and their Familiar are a team, fighting together to overwhelm their enemies. The Familiar rushes into the thick of it, dealing heavy physical damage and holding the attention of their opponent. Meanwhile, the Summoner hangs back, supporting their Familiar with long range skills that both help their feline friend and hinder their shared enemy.

Don’t let the adorable appearance of these two fool you. Summoner attacks deal constant damage and can readily control the flow of battle, making them particularly hard to deal with. Even if one part of the team is defeated, they can revive their fallen ally and jump right back into the fight.

The Summoner and their Familiar are the strongest at transferring health from foes to themselves. While it is a great class for novices, actually mastering the Summoner is a difficult process given their wide range of tactics and abilities.

How to make gold fast in Blade and Soul

What's up everyone. Today i'm going to show you how I make gold in Blade and Soul. Making gold in blade and soul is a little difficult right now because the game is still new and the economy is some what erratic however I've found some ways you can make some gold in Blade in Soul once you reach level 45.

As with every MMO gold is extremely important. It's no different in Blade and Soul. Gold allows you to upgrade your character, buy materials for crafting also helps leveling alts easier and most importantly, you can exchange gold for NCoin which in turn you can use in the cash shop to by outfits, services and other stuff.

So today i will show you my routine on how to make gold. Just a background on myself I've been playing Blade and Soul since launch and this is the most effective ways to earn gold. I earn about 13-14g a day using this method alone. Now keep in mind that this is for level 45 only.

If you are sub level 45 I wouldn't worry about making gold too much because there really isn't much you can sell at lower levels that will net you any gold. Sub 45 you should only be focused on grinding to level 45 asap and also doing your faction dailies when you can for the extra xp.

There are four ways to earn gold in Blade and Soul

  • Grinding gold doing blade and soul dailies
  • Grinding gold by doing the 4 blue dungeons
  • Grinding gold through the auction house / market place
  • Grinding gold through pvp
  • Grinding gold by doing Mushin's Tower

Farming gold E. Fleet Supply Chain Dungeon Dailies

When you hit level 45 this is one of the first things you should be doing. Every day you wanna head over to E. Fleet Supply and do the 24 man dungeon dailies. These dailies net you around some 3g+ a day and they are very easy to do. This is an open dungeon and you cannot queue for it through group finder you have to go there by taking a portal and organizing a group.

This takes about 15-20minutes to complete depending on your group. Basically this is easy gold and I would recommend getting a party of six people so that you can make it even easier for both you and them. I recommend doing this everyday. Its very easy.

Zone: Moonwater Plains / Hogshead Pastures

Total gold: Around 3 gold+

There are six daily quests in total

 Misty Woods faction pvp dailies

When you start Blade and Soul one of the first things you do when you start the game is pick a faction. The factions are either Crimson or the Cerulean Order. It's very important to pick a faction because at level 45 you will have access to faction dailies.

These dailies give you soulstones which go between 70 to 80+ silver depending your server. The dailies don't take very long to do especially if you get into a good group. I've made about 14+ gold daily just by selling soulstones that I get from doing faction dailies.

Zone: Moonwater Plains / Mistywoods

Total gold: Around 5g+

 Faction bases in Moonwater Plains

 Faction bases in Mistywoods

Grinding gold through arena PVP DAILIES

Zone: Moonwater Plains / Mushin's Tower

Total gold: Around 5g+ depending on your servers economy

Grinding Gold through Dungeons

Once you have done your dailies, you can earn some more gold by doing the four blue dungeons. Each dungeon gives you one daily quest but that's not where your gold will come from. Each blue dungeon drops two moonwater tears and these tears can go for about 70+ silver a piece or sometimes even more depending on your market.

Much of your income will come from running dungeons, and once you get geared out you will be able to solo these dungeons which means the moonwater tears will only be yours and you can get maximum gold from them. That is how I earn most of my gold once I am done doing my dailies. I basically farm The Pigsty and Brightstone ruins which are two of the easier dungeons to solo for my class. I play a summoner and we have a lot of aoe which helps to kills mobs fast!

There are six major high-level dungeons that you can repeat every day for gold and materials, which you can sell. If you have a class that has good AoE skills and damage, then this process can go more quickly. You pull the mobs in the dungeon into a big group and then take them all out at once. If you are a class that has weaker defenses and is worse at AoE like the Assassin, then you will need to pull fewer monsters at the same time. This process will provide you with experience as well as gold, so you can move towards the level cap. It is generally better to try to solo dungeons instead of doing them as a group, but this is not always possible.

And that's it for now guys, I will be updating this guide as I learn more ways to earn gold in blade and soul. For now though this is by far the most effective way of earning gold in the game.

If you found the information in this article helpful please make sure to share with your friends. After all who doesn't want to learn how to make gold in blade and soul right? Until next time, I'll cya all later!

Bottom line guys if you want to make gold in blade and soul you have to hit level 45. Once you hit level 45 things become much easier! And once your character becomes geared it gets even MORE easier!

Blade and Soul Starter Guide Part 1: Races and Classes.

What's up everyone. Today we're going to talk about the new MMO that's been released in North America called Blade and Soul. This guide is mostly for players who are new to Blade and Soul and are interested in learning everything about it. In Part 1 of this starter guide we'll talk about the different races and classes in blade and soul.

Blade and Soul Races:

Yun

The Yun are a purely female race intrinsically entwined to the natural world. The planet serves as a guide for all Yun: they are heavily attuned to the rhythms of nature and dance to its tempo.

The Funghuang, a mythical Asian bird, has passed her traits of elegance and grace to her descendants. The Yun’s innate aesthetic skills make them some of the best artisans in all the realm.

Other races look to them as the pinnacle of artistic skill and creativity, as the Yun weave beauty into everything they do. The Yun have become increasingly involved in modern society as they look to restore balance to the world.

Dignity is key to the Yun, and while they are able combatants, they balance their time spent fighting by teaching and meditating with others.

The Yun can choose from the following classes:

Lyn

The Lyn, with their large ears and dainty tails, are descendants from the Kirin, legendary animals that were both mischievous and unpredictable

The Lyn have not survived in this dangerous world by mere chance; they have innately acute senses which steer them clear from danger and allow them to see treachery and deception where others cannot. More famously, the Lyn use these highly attuned senses to converse with beings from the Spirit Realm granting them the ability to commune with Familiars and harness the power of the earth.

The Lyn are known for their somewhat unpredictable nature. During a single conversation, it is not unusual for a Lyn to convey a multitude of emotions, including hatred, fear, jealousy, love, and respect.

The Lyn can choose from 3 classes:

Gon

The Gon believe that their ancestors were born from the breath of Dragons and they embrace this legend with pride.

Physical power and combative skill are treasured among the Gon. They seek to make themselves strong, capable, and able to overcome any challenge, and use their might for the good of others. This can make Gon somewhat easy to trick, as the greedy use the Gon's intimidating physique and trusting nature for personal gain. However, if you are true, friendships established with Gon are as strong as steel and you would have earned their loyalty for life.

In their day to day lives, Gon move and speak at a calm and measured pace. This deliberate pacing was started to help nullify the other Gon trait: their famously short tempers. With their massive frame and incredible strength, little can stand in the way of these mighty people once a Gon has been moved to anger.

 Jin

The word "Jin" means "Unyielding Effort" in the ancient language of the eastern continent. It is this characteristic that still defines the Jin people, who make up most of the world's most celebrated people.

Jin warriors may look fairly ordinary, and are certainly smaller than their Gon counterparts, but beneath a somewhat plain exterior lays incredible strength and tenacity, typical of the heirs of the Black Tortoise. Their versatility and never-say-die attitude gives Jin warriors a reputation that few would risk testing in the battlefield.

Jin people are often friendly and considerate with a strong notion of right and wrong. Their warriors are often found traveling the continents, helping the needy by working selflessly wherever they were needed.
As with all races, there is no stat benefit or perk to choosing Jin.

The Jin can choose from these classes:
